Scimitar Horned Oryx

Animal facts

Scimitar horned oryx are shown in some Egyptian wall paintings, having been kept as domestic animals. A wild herd numbers between 10 and 60 animals. The oryx migrate across arid areas in search of grazing and can go without water for up to two months if its food contains enough moisture.
