At ZSL London Zoo you can see our three gorillas, who are living in their flash pad, Gorilla Kingdom. Meet them here first by flicking through our photo album.

Zaire, 33, has been here since 1984, so she’s one of the Zoo’s old timers. Zaire is a real character who is happiest when she’s taking down and rebuilding her nest in various spots around the island. She loves to play with fabric and often drags it around with her all day.

Effie, 15, enjoys seeing toddlers and often makes her way over to the glass when they come to see her.

Nine-year-old Mjukuu, or ‘Jookie’ as she’s nicknamed, is the newest addition to Gorilla Kingdom. Dan Simmonds, a keeper at Gorilla Kingdom, said: 'Jookie has this ‘butter wouldn’t melt look’ to her and she gets away with murder. The other two females get along with her very well - she seems to have them all wrapped around her little finger.'
