After days of miserable British summer weather the crowds were ready to make the most of the warm evening. They flooded into the zoo for a night of special entertainment, set to a backdrop of some of the most fascinating animals on earth.
Amazing Animals
Throughout the evening visitors were amazed by a host of flying, leaping and climbing animals showing off their natural skills in the Zoo’s fascinating animal displays. Even Dom, ZSL Whipsnade Zoo’s cheeky sea lion pup was allowed to stay up late to demonstrate how keepers give him a health check.
Alongside these displays the zoo’s team of keepers ran animal talks and feeds, giving onlookers the chance to find out all about bears, tigers, penguins and many other animals. The zoo’s regular exhibits, such as the new ‘Cheetah Rock’ and ‘In with the Lemurs’, were kept open, allowing visitors to stroll around the zoo’s grounds at dusk.
Incredible Entertainment

Acrobatics troupe ‘The Black Eagles’ wowed the crowds with their incredible high energy display set to African music. Meanwhile a Caribbean steel band kept the party atmosphere going around the special food and drink area.
As the sun started to set there was still one final treat in store for visitors. The fantastic fire dancing finale performed by ‘Flame Oz’ was truly breathtaking. The arena came alive as the crowd cheered whilst flames whirled all around the dancers.
The show ended with a sea of smiles, ready to make their way home, having had the perfect start to their weekend.
